ITINERARY

Day 1 ROME – NAPLES – POMPEI – SORRENTO

Upon arrival in Naples we will take a walk in the historical centre to admire Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Piazza del Municipio, the Gallery of Umberto I and the San Carlo Opera House. After lunch in a typical restaurant with Neapolitan specialities, with our local guide we will visit the Pompeii excavations, UNESCO listed ruins. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried and preserved it under a sea of volcanic ash for almost 1700 years. The archaeological journey through the ancient city will give us the opportunity to better understand how Romans used to live at that time. Proceed to SORRENTO, the gateway to the Amalfi coast, with its colorful historical center and pretty waterfront, lined with fishing boats and the new Marina Grande cruise pier. Check in at your hotel in Sorrento, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO

American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Optional Excursion to Capri to discover the beauty of this wonderful island. Weather permitting visit the Blue Grotto. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Visit Anacapri with its magnificent views, time at leisure. Return to Sorrento by ferry. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 SORRENTO – POSITANO – AMALFI

American buffet breakfast at the hotel and departure to AMALFI at 9.30am through the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. Have a stop in POSITANO. Upon arrival at the picturesque village of Positano, enjoy approximately 2h of free time to explore the narrow lanes and abundance of souvenir shops. Alternatively, laze on the beach or visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (own expense). Leaving Positano and  arrival in Amalfi Coast, check in at the Hotel and time at leisure.You can go to the beach and plunge into the waters of the Mediterranean Sea or discover the amazing villages along the coast. Overnight at the hotel in Amalfi Coast.

Day 4 AMALFI

American Buffet breakfast at the hotel and day at disposal for optional tours. Possibility to visit Amalfi historical center that is justly considered an outdoor museum, and preserves, almost intact, architectural and urban digs from its rich past as a maritime republic.  You can also visit the picturesque RAVELLO, with the beautiful Villa Ruotolo and the magnificent gardens of Villa Cimbrone, or you can decide to spend the day on the beach. Have a romantic dinner in one of the pretty restaurants of Amalfi Coast or taste typical street food. Overnight in Amalfi Coast.

Day 5 AMALFI – SORRENTO – ROME

Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure, early afternoon (2.00/2.30PM) transfer to Pompeii we will start our trip back to Rome. Traffic permitting, estimated time of arrival approximately 09.00 pm.

Free cancellation up to 15 working days
For cancellations from 14 to 4 days prior to arrival will be charged a penalty corresponding to 60% of the total amount – For cancellations beyond this time limit, after arrival dates & no-show the total amount will be charged
