The tour of Rome’s Basilicas starts directly from your hotel: at the agreed time, the driver and expert guide will welcome you in the lobby to accompany you on this exclusive experience. Aboard a private and comfortable vehicle, you will immediately immerse yourself in the history and spirituality of Rome.
The journey begins on the Esquiline Hill, where the magnificent Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the oldest and best-preserved places of worship in Rome, awaits you. Let yourself be guided through its artistic and architectural masterpieces, from extraordinary mosaics to the treasures housed within.
The visit continues to the Lateran, the heart of Roman Christianity. Admire the sanctity of the Holy Stairs, which according to Christian tradition, were climbed by Jesus during the Passion, and discover the majesty of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the cathedral of Rome and “mother of all churches in the world.”
Travel back in time as you journey along the suggestive Appian Way, one of the oldest and most historic roads in Rome. Along the route, you will admire the quaint little Chapel of “Domine Quo Vadis?”, linked to a famous episode of Christian tradition. Then, visit the mysterious Catacombs of San Callisto, San Sebastiano, or Santa Domitilla (depending on availability), ancient burial sites and refuges for early Christians.
At the end of the tour, you will be comfortably escorted back to your hotel. This unique experience will leave you with unforgettable memories of Rome’s history and spirituality.
