major events Jubilee 2025

The Jubilee of 2025 will be the main event in Italy, a unique opportunity that will draw pilgrims and visitors from all over the world to Rome. The entire city is preparing with a series of initiatives that will unite faith, culture, and community. The inaugural moment will be the opening of the Holy Door, a solemn rite that will mark the official beginning of the Holy Year. This symbolic act calls millions of faithful, inviting them to embark on a journey of spiritual renewal and reconciliation. Alongside the religious events, the Jubilee will be enriched by a rich calendar of free cultural initiatives:

With a considerable number of authentic paintings, international loans, and two newly discovered masterpieces – exhibited to the public for the first time – Caravaggio 2025 takes shape, the most important exhibition dedicated to Michelangelo Merisi (Milan, 1571 – Porto Ercole, 1610), created on the occasion of the Jubilee and hosted at Palazzo Barberini in Rome starting March 7 (and open for visit until July 6, 2025).
Curated by Francesca Cappelletti, Maria Cristina Terzaghi, and Thomas Clement Salomon, the exhibition project aims to narrate the revolutionary style of the painter and his influence in the artistic, religious, and social landscape of the time.

The exhibition features over 20 monumental installations and interactive inflatable artworks – most created for this occasion – by renowned contemporary international artists: Carsten Höller, Philippe Parreno, Martin Creed, Marta Minujín, Hyperstudio, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Ryan Gander, A.A. Murakami, Karina Smigla-Bobinski, Cyril Lancelin, Camille Walala, Philip Colbert, Quiet Ensemble, SpY, Nils Völker, Sun Yitian, MOTOREFISICO, and Alex Schweder.

Vinitaly is the leading wine and spirits fair aimed at industry professionals in international markets.

The immersive experience guides visitors through the creative and fantastical universe of Tim Burton, an interactive journey that highlights the director’s cinematic work and brings his drawings, paintings, and photographs to life, inviting visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in the world of one of the most original creative minds of our time and discover the characters and iconic scenes from his films.
A true labyrinth will allow for a unique itinerary among over three hundred possibilities. By activating a button, the journey will begin, allowing each person to personalize their path during the experience by opening the doors they choose.

Museum exhibition Silken treasures. Textile masterpieces from the Falletti donation

Consisting of nearly 2,000 very diverse objects, the donation includes artifacts of incredible historical, artistic, and anthropological value, such as 250 Japanese prints by artists like Hokusai, Hiroshige, Kuniyoshi, Utamaro, textiles from European manufacturers from the 15th to the 17th century, over 450 lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, and prints from the 16th to the 19th century – including works by Dürer, Van Leyden, Salvator Rosa, Piranesi, Max Klinger, Lorenzo Viani – and more than 1,000 objects including embroideries, decorative bands, panels, masks, ornaments, and ritual weapons originating from Africa, Central Asia, East Asia, and South America.

From Giovanni Bellini to Francis Bacon, from Titian to Giorgio De Chirico, and including Tintoretto, Lotto, Rembrandt, Hayez, Balla, Sironi, and Bill Viola, there are numerous masterpieces on display in Forlì, all connected by a well-defined common thread: the self-portrait. An “ideal gallery” to reflect on the gradual development of an artist’s self-awareness throughout art history.
“In the self-portrait, the painter splits into the dual roles of model and artist. The eye rests on the reflected image to portray itself, and the depicted image is both an alter ego and a self. Often, a mask emerges. A character rather than a person…”

Opera Lirica 102° Arena di Verona Opera Festival 2025

In the summer of 2025, the Arena di Verona will once again take center stage with the 102nd edition of the prestigious Verona Lyrical Festival. The Roman amphitheater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will provide an incredible backdrop for the opera performances featured in the 2025 festival. Thus, the unmissable appointment for opera lovers will be renewed, with renditions of great works and captivating stage setups that attract audiences from all over the world each year. Dedicated to one of the most influential and recognized figures in 20th-century Italian art, the exhibition Felice Casorati is a retrospective that reconstructs the entire span of the artist’s activity, tracing the different phases of his painting. Designed for the rooms of Palazzo Reale, the exhibition showcases one hundred works of significant importance, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, and graphic works, sourced from prestigious private collections and museum holdings. The exhibit extends beyond painting: from sculpture to graphic art, where Casorati achieved equally high and original results through continuous experimentation, not forgetting drawing, illustration, and his passion for music.

Sport Nitto ATP Finals

It is the tournament that marks the peak and conclusion of the ATP season. The only one that involves only the best eight players and the eight best doubles pairs of the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin. For the fifth consecutive year, Turin will once again become the world capital of tennis by hosting the Nitto ATP Finals. A prestigious event of global significance that will bring back into the spotlight the unmistakable blue court of the Inalpi Arena. A facility and surrounding area that have been renovated and improved, with innovative solutions, will offer fans an unforgettable week of great sport, food, and entertainment.
